FYI:You might want to know about this fun event passing through Brian Head, Panguitch, Duck Creek and Cedar City and the road closure taking place on  SR143, SR89, and SR14,

As many of you already know the Tour of Utah bike race is coming to Cedar City and surrounding areas on Tuesday Aug 6th. This will have an impact on traffic, and some roads will be closed for a period of time while the race is going on. The Route is as follows: Starting in Brian Head at 11:35 am bikes will travel on SR143 from Brian Head to the town of Panguitch. They will then travel on SR89 from Panguitch to Todds Junction where SR89 and SR14 Junction. Then they will take SR14 into the town of Cedar City. SR14 WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL VEHICLE TRAFFIC while the bikers are on this road. They are expected to reach Cedar City at approximately 2:00 pm. ROAD CLOSURES in CEDAR CITY FROM APPROX 1:30-3:30 PM ARE AS FOLLOWS: Main Street Will be closed From 200 N to 200 S, 200 S will be closed to 1150 W, 1150 W to Center Street, then from Center Street to 300 W, from 300 W to 200 N, and from 200 N to Main Street. Please keep these closures in mind for TUESDAY AUG 6TH and plan alternate routes. We are excited for Cedar City and surrounding areas to participate in this great event. Hopefully this will help you plan your alternate routes for the time periods our local roads will be effected. Please feel free to share this post and get this information out to your friends.
